And the blog is back!
After attending the University of Northern Iowa Job Fair (a fantastic resource for finding international teaching jobs!), Aaron and I decided to take a job in Cali, Colombia. Colegio Bolivar
is a private, K-12 international school of about 1,500 students that
follows an American curriculum. Aaron will be teaching 8th grade
science while I will be moving up to 10th grade English. We're thrilled
to be teaching the subjects we love and are actually pretty excited
about going to work together everyday.
In just 16 days we'll be on a plane to Miami, Florida for a couple days before heading to our new home of Cali, Colombia. The goodbyes have begun, and we are really looking forward to spending the next few weeks basking in the amazing community we are so lucky to have here in the USA. This blog will be a way to keep in touch with friends and family during our adventure as well as provide info for anyone wishing to travel and teach abroad. We will try and update it often with pictures and stories about our new home as well as our struggles learning Spanish and how to salsa!
